CLOSED FOR TRAINING EVERY 2 MONTHS

TARGET is a scheme that brings our city’s GPs, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants together every two months to learn new skills, hear about new treatments and share good practice.  We think it will mean better services all round – that is what we’re aiming for!
It means that your surgery will need to close for one afternoon every two months but we will ensure that medical care will be available when you need it.  The surgery will therefore be closed on the following afternoons but the Out of Hours service (which can be accessed by calling 111) will cover:
Thursday 16 January 2020
Thursday 26 March 2020

Test Results - Please call after 3pm only

test_vials2When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Once the results are back they are actioned by the GP.  If your result needs any urgent action you will be contacted by the surgery.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results unless they have been seen by a GP first.  Once the results have been actioned by the GP they will add a comment to the results and it is this information that the reception staff can relay back to you as the patient.  Please do not ask the reception team for any further information in relation to results.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
